National Information Assurance Forum
The NIAF is an independent committee sponsored by the UK Government (CESG). It is co-chaired by a Wider Public Sector representative from SOCITM and CESG, with an aim to:
- Identify, collate and discuss Information Assurance (IA) issues that affect the wider public sector
- Through working groups, produce recommendations and reports to assist Government departments, agencies and the Wider Public Sector to facilitate the National Information Assurance Strategy(NIAS)
NIAF comprises of representatives from Central and Local Government, the Wider Public Sector, Information Assurance Organisations, the Private Sector and Industry.
Individual contributions to the work of NIAF are unfunded, being is carried out by voluntary activity and input from its membership.
