Local Government Data Handling Guidelines
In to the Government's 2008 Data Handling Review, the LGA and Socitm produced a set of Local Government Data Handling Guidelines. The Guidelines provide chief executives, senior managers and elected members with a guide and essential checklist to their responsibilities and accountability for secure and effective handling of personal information.
Aditionally, a data handling service was funded for two years, but while this has now come to an end, useful information can still be found on the IDeA Information Assurance Community of Practice.
